"My dream is to become a physiotherapist, have my own company and help my family; get married and have a beautiful family. I also want to help other people with disabilities"
My name is Barbara Ruth Baca Casana. I was born on June 13, 1996 in New Chimbote. My parents are Ricardo Manuel Baca Leyton and Maltilde Casana Barrett. As a young girl, I enjoyed playing with my brothers. Without a doubt, we had a great time.
I initially started at the school of Faith and Joy 42 of Chimbote. I completed my primary school here as well. For secondary school, I went to SEBA Andres Bello. Now I am studying law and political science at the Uladech Catholic University of Chimbote which is now merged with the Catholic University of Trujillo. My favorite courses are derecho penal, philosophy of derecho, family law. I am currently in my 4th cycle.
I have a visual impairment but it doesn’t prevent me from succeeding in my studies or in my personal life. My disability doesn’t stop me from doing well in college. It also doesn’t prevent me from interacting with my fellow peers; we complete courses of social responsibility and social doctrine of the church where professors give us projects to complete.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, going out with my mother, making pastries, playing with my nephew Joshua, and now I am waiting for the arrival of my new nephew. I also enjoy listening to music and reading books.
I am a fan of the Peruvian singer, Gian Marco who I got to meet on August 31, 2013 at a concert in Chimbote. Gian Marco returned to Chimbote to perform on July 29, 2019. This time around, I was able to welcome him and take a photo with him. My dream is to finish school and obtain a cargo public, and also to give my family a better life. Thank you to Help Them Hope for all of your support and for helping me cover the costs of my studies. Thank you so much for your help. Many blessings.
